PUKETUTU

Permapave is a permeable natural stone paver system, made from a variety of New Zealand stone, that allows rainwater to flow through the body of the paver, (at a rate of no less than 30 litres/m2 per second), thereby returning it to earth's acquifer - a huge advantage when planning how to control stormwater outflow on a site and influencing site coverage ratios.

The pavers are easily laid: bedded in gravel and butt jointed or grouted with polymer concrete. They can be laid in strips on top of bio retention pits or in low-lying sections of any area of urban paving, provided the substrate is sound (substrate requirements are site-specific).

As a surface may require as little as 30% of Permapave to be classified as ‘permeable’, it may be used in conjunction with other impervious surface.

Permapave’s exceptionally high levels of porosity, which are generally unaffected by gradient, will slow and dissipate the water captured from surrounding impervious surfaces.

The Permapave system can be laid around trees and other planted areas to increase water absorption to plant roots.
- Verges, pathways, pool surrounds, patios and car park areas.
- Permapave provides clean and safe surfaces for pedestrians.
- On rooftops over a membrane.
- Commercial or Residential application.
- Permapave Storm Water Grates can be customized or retrofitted to replace existing metal bar storm water grates in roadways and pedestrian areas.

Permapave pavers are easily maintained and cleaned by vacuum extraction. Frequency depends on areas of use.

Paver sizes are 300mm x 300mm x 50mm and 400mm x 400mm x 50mm
