Brief History
1989: The company was founded in Auckland, New Zealand.

It began trading as a Wholesaler of residential locks and latches servicing the Building Industry via Hardware Merchants and Aluminium Fabricators.

1994: The company was relocated to Tauranga to a larger warehouse operation and an increase in the range of products as well as customer services.

Since then there has been a steady expansion in our range of Door Hardware and accessory products, including an updated, comprehensive range of Architectural Door Hardware.

Nowdays we offer an extremely versatile - ever - expanding - range of products to our customers throughout New Zealand and an increasing South Pacific clientele.

Customer Services
Our promotion of EZSET and MBC branded products through a marketing strategy that restricts our trading to Hardware Merchants, Aluminium Fabricators, Door Pre-Hangers, Locksmiths and Door Manufacturers. This enables us to isolate ourselves from the end user and concentrate our efforts in giving a customer service, which is second to none.

The quality of the products we offer, allied to our service have ensured that the sales of Gait Trading Company have accelerated against fierce competition from within New Zealand and overseas.
