The introduction of the NZ Building Code E2/AS1 External Moisture forced many (necessary) changes to building, cladding, and re-cladding techniques. Steve focused his attention on producing a series of products that could fill some of the product gaps within the NZ Building scene, brought about with the implementation of this new code. The Deck Jak™ system took much trial and error. Through dogged determination and consultation with leading Industry Experts, the Deck Jak™ system emerged, and was introduced to the market in 2005. The system is constantly evolving to meet client demand and ever-changing regulations. With many Local Body Authorities moving to no longer allow direct fixing of tiles to membranes, the Deck Jak™ system provides a cost-effective, user friendly alternative.
