Aluminium Systems

Aluminium Systems NZ Ltd (ASL) designs and distributes aluminium joinery extrusion. ASL designs the aluminium profiles, cuts its own dies and extrudes its aluminium on a contract basis. ASL also owns and operates its own powdercoating plant.

The full range of extrusion is exclusively distributed to fabricators that operate under ASL's major aluminium joinery brand names, FAIRVIEW and ELITE. ASL provides it's fabricators with excellent on-going technical, IT, factory and marketing/sales support which enables them to enjoy competitive advantage in the marketplace.

ASL has an active interest in three other companies. Independent Extrusions Ltd (INEX), which is an extrusion company in Hamilton, Powdercoating Systems (PSL) the powdercoating plant which operates under the same roof as ASL and Fabtech an ASL subsidiary which manufactures additional products.

ASL is supplied aluminium extrusions to their own design specifications. The two suppliers are INEX from Hamilton and MCK Metals from New Plymouth.

During extrusion molten metal is forced through a die which creates the shape of the metal extrusions. ASL owns many dies at both factories for the various extrusions that are supplied to fabricators for the manufacture of window and door joinery.

ASL is unique, in offering the only 24 hour powdercoating service in New Zealand. Orders placed today are dispatched tomorrow, allowing minimal stock holding in factories and work scheduling to be very precise. This provides a platform for their fabricators to service their market extremely well.
